***** INTRODUCTION *****
month was a very exciting month for The ARC Network. We participated
as an exhibitor at the Trial Lawyers and Judges Reconstruction and
Litigation Seminar. We were able to meet a few of our members and
attract a few new ones. Everyone was very positive towards our web
site and very supportive of our organization. Also, due to further
exposure and word of mouth our hits have increased once again, this
time we achieved over 126,000 hits for the month of October
(that's up from our record month of 108,000). We are working on
doing some special things for our members and are also working on
some great plans for next year...
Don't forget to watch the DISCOVERY Channel November 21 at 8:00pm
EST for the show "Pile-up". This is the special that the ARC Network
helped put together.

***** ARC NETWORK AT TRIAL LAWYERS
AND JUDGES SEMINAR *****
First of all we would like to thank Steve Weintraub at Trail Lawyers
for hosting a great seminar!
This seminar was the first one that the ARC Network exhibited.
We were able to setup a full projection of the site and give everyone
demonstrations on how the site is useful to this discipline and
also let the attendees navigate through the site on their own. We
were very pleased that almost everyone there had heard of us and
had been to the web site. We were also fortunate to meet a few of
our members and speak with them about the ARC Network. Every one
of them mentioned that they have received calls from their listing
and had even been retained for a case. We are truly excited that
the expert directory is working!
The ARC Network also video taped all the crash tests that were
performed and will make them available on the web site within the
next month. A special thanks to Jerry Eubanks and Rusty Haight for
conducting the crashes (and Rusty for driving). The event even caught
the interest of the Local News and was aired live. We have the taped
segment and will try to post that to the site as well.

to see your qualifications. This membership is $120 per year.
memberships take full advantage of the web. In addition to
everything in a basic and gold you also receive an additional

No matter what level of membership you choose, we promote
There are four main benefits of membership: exposure, credibility,
cost-effectiveness and support.
- Exposure: The
ARC Network is rapidly becoming one of the most visited and trusted
Internet sites for Accident Reconstruction. The audience that
The ARC Network attracts is fellow Reconstructionists and Investigators,
Engineers, Attorneys, Insurance Companies and Government Entities.
As you can see, this pinpoints the audience that should know about
your services. Whether you are just starting your Accident Reconstruction
business or you are already established, the more professionals
that are familiar and aware of your services the more likely your
business will grow and succeed.
- Credibility: The
Internet is where technology has led us and is where the world
is progressing. Now is the time to be a part of this great new
technology as it relates to your industry. The ARC Network is
where you will come for up-to-date industry news and cutting-edge
research, as well as finding classes and seminars to keep your
C.V. current. The past 6-months have proven to many people that
the ARC Network is the premier web site for the Accident Reconstruction
For all the promotion and service we provide to our members, we
feel we are providing an extremely cost effective membership price.
When you compare our prices to that of other web companies, print
advertising and distribution lists you quickly see the value of
the ARC Network.
- Support: It is
through membership that this site can continue to operate. The
ARC Network has chosen not to charge a "user fee" to access and
use the site. Some business executives have criticized us for
not taking that route, but we feel that the information should
be available to everyone, free of charge. However, we feel that
there are more than enough benefits to join the expert directory
and that in turn will help us staff and continue to build and
provide the information and service you expect from a professional

***** CAARS NEW WEB SITE *****
Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CAARS) new web
site is now available in the ARC Network. It is located at http://www.accidentreconstruction.com/caars/.
We would also like to congratulate CAARS on a very successful reconstruction
seminar held in the middle of October. The ARC Network was unable
to attend but have talked with many people who were there and they
said it was very beneficial.
CAARS was created to provide accident reconstruction training
and resources to its members. There is a growing need for more local
resources in the accident reconstruction field. We have grown to
over 100 paid members and are always looking for ways to strengthen
and increase our membership.
CAARS holds its meetings at easily accessible local agencies,
providing an environment for members to bring case studies, problems,
or helpful solutions and tips to share with other professionals
in the field.
Note: remember that all current members of CAARS receive
a discount on an ARC Network membership. Please see the The
ARC Network Membership Application for details.

***** ARC NETWORK TESTIMONIALS
We are very pleased to know that the "network" we have implemented
is working. We would like to share a few of our feedback emails:
"I just now found this site and was very impressed. It
is time that a site for Accident Reconstructionist was out here.
The site has some very good areas and good information. I liked
the area where one could post messages or problems. I posted a message
and hope that with the other reconstructionist that look at this
site can be of help. Regardless I plan to tell my coworkers about
this site and to let them know what great services are offered.
Keep up the good work. I will view often."
"I just ran across your site, totally fabulous. I signed the
guestbook about a week or so ago. I might be jumping the gun by
e-mailing you, but want to be sure to get the news letter."
"I really want to send you my congratulations for this site."
"Hi Friends ...... This service is just plain O U T S T A N
D I N G .......... !! Love it!!"
"Just wanted to say that I am very impressed with this site.
I'm a member only because I "won" it, but after spending some
time looking around, I will not hesitate to "pay up" when it comes
time to renew. Thanks for a nice place to search."
"Finally a professional site."
These are very nice comments and we want to thank everyone for
making this site a success.

***** TIP OF THE MONTH *****
Unfortunately with the amount of email going around these days,
there have also been a lot of viruses that are very costly and devastating
to computers and networks. The most recent of these viruses is BUBBLEBOY
A new worm virus has been detected that, when activated, will
send itself to everyone in EVERY address book available. What is
unique about this virus is that It does not have an attachment.
An embedded VBS script runs when the e-mail is opened (or when read
in Preview Pane using Outlook Express). Norton will not detect this
worm at this time. Microsoft has a security patch to fix the IE4/IE5
vulnerability this worm uses. Although BubbleBoy only affects Windows
98/2000 with IE5, we highly recommend that everyone install the
patch to fix this security hole for this and future exploits.
For complete information regarding BUBBLEBOY please visit AntiVirus
The ARC Network strongly suggests that you purchase and install
a Virus Detection software application. Two of the most well-known
If you already own one of these, or another one, be sure to get
the newest updates and patches. New Viruses are found all the time
and most of these companies provide free updates.
