President's Message
WATAI held an exciting and successful May seminar. The agenda attracted the largest gathering for a spring meeting in recent memory. WATAI extends its sincere thanks to Rob Kaufman for his presentation on injury mechanics, Greg Wilcoxson and his colleagues Troy Orf and Dave Temple for their presentation on tractor-trailer stability testing, and Rusty Haight for his history and introduction to crash data recorders. The presentations were all interesting and informative.
The regular meeting was held in conjunction with the Vetronix Crash Data Recorder System Operator's Certification Course. Rusty Haight of the Collision Safety Institute presented an entertaining and informative two-day class. The course attracted thirty-four students. Due to the excellent turnout, WATAI made a small profit that fully offset the expenses for the May meeting. The remaining surplus will be applied toward future endeavors. It is the goal of the executive board to continue to offer interesting, relevant, and topical training to our members.
On a personal note, I want to thank the executive board for their outstanding efforts this year. Their excellent suggestions and hard work makes the organization run smoothly and they are a credit to the entire association.
I welcome suggestions and feedback. If you would like to participate more directly with WATAI, if you have any questions or concerns, or if you have an idea for a seminar topic, please contact me at moebes@arsoftware.com, phone me at 425-861-4666.
I look forward to seeing you at the October meeting.
Regards, Tim Moebes WATAI President
