TAARS Annual Conference Houston Texas June 11th, 12th &13th 2004 Sat 8 - 9 am CDR review for non-attendees. Rusty will be the moderator-de-jour. People will be divided into 5-6 groups, consisting of trained and non-trained personnel. Each group will have a Vetronix instrument for downloading. (Availability of instruments is to be determined.) Sat 9 - 12 am Adjourn to IAA Salvage yard (~5 mi) for field training. IAA will have 5-6 late model GM products that have had their airbags deployed. The training area at IAA is indoors so weather will not be a factor. Each group will have a chance to download a data set from their assigned vehicle. The groups will then rotate to another vehicle for further training. Sat 2 - 5 pm Review of data obtained at IAA. Each group will present their data. Discussion as needed. Sun 8 - 10 am John Sands will present his famous ethics class for PI/CE credit. 10 - 12 am TAARS Annual meeting, elections, BOD meeting.

1999 Fall Mini-Seminar Held September 17 & 18, 1999 Friday: Iron Horse Motorcycle Co. NE corner of Blue Mound Road and Meacham Blvd. (old Fruehauf plant), Fort Worth, Texas. Techincal tour of research, development and assembly plant. Company representatives were available for Q&A. A Board of Governors Meeting was held at the hotel on Friday, September 17, 1999. Saturday: Commercial Vehicle Braking System presentation with hands-on working models. Jerry Campbell, Lamar University & TAARS' member.

1999 Annual Meeting Held June 3 - 5, 1999 at the Radisson Hotel, Market Square, San Antonio, Texas Light truck and trailer braking was conducted at the San Antonio Police Department's driving track. Questions regarding compilation and distribution of the test data should be directed to Mike Andrews. Anyone who has not received a newsletter this year (1999) should also contact Mike Andrews. We wish to than SAPD for their cooperation in these tests.

1999 Winter Mini-Seminar Held January 22 - 23, 1999 at the Sheraton Crown Hotel & Conference Center, Houston, TX. Subjects discussed were: Airbags: New technology; New generation bags & sensors; by B.J. Turner, Manager of Field Investigators for ESIS; Hydraulic Brake Systems: Components & Conducting Level I, II, & III Inspections for Accident Reconstruction, by Randy Pazzaglia, TAARS member & ASE Certified in automotive brakes and Carl Saenz, GM Certified Technician; and, Internet Resource Information: by Randy Dodd, TAARS member. A Board of Governors Meeting was held at the hotel on Friday, January 22, 1999.

1998 Fall Mini-Seminar Held September 18 & 19, 1998 at Law Enforcement & Security Training Building at Texas A&M University's Riverside Campus. Subject was Back-to-the-Basics on Commercial Vehicles. Thanks to Randy Dodd, Houston, TX, and Sam Slaydon, Austin, TX. for their assistance

SOAR-TAARS-WATAI 1998 Combined Conference Held August 27-30, 1998 in Colorado Springs, CO. and was a roaring success. Thanks to Walt Suhaka, Dave Lohf, Arnie Wheat & Sue McDaniels forcoordinting such a terrific meeting.
