The Bellevue Police Department Traffic Unit consists of twenty two officers who serve a population of 120,000 people. The unit consists of six A.I. officers, one traffic detective and a supervisor. There are twelve motor officers and two supervisors assigned specifically for enforcement.

The Accident Investigation Unit’s primary responsibility is to investigate all collisions that occur in the City of Bellevue. The officers are on a rotating call-out basis for any serious injury, fatal, or felony related collisions. We work closely with the motor officers and the engineering department to make driving in the City of Bellevue as safe as possible.
