Sherman Police Department has a collision team called CAIT (Critical Accident Investigation Team).  The CAIT Members respond to major collisions that could or has caused the life of a party involved.   Our team has successfully investigated two of the largest commercial motor vehicle fatalities that have occurred in Texas in the last five years.   The team is also used in forensically mapping major crime scenes.

Our current membership includes, Lt. Steve Ayers, Sgt. Charley Smith, Cpl. Brad Gibson, Mark Wood, Tom Caver, Tal Rhew, Katie Moore, Brad Bigham, and Rob Bellew.
