Covering an area of over 120 sq. miles and effecting more than 75,000 residents, The Chagrin Valley Enforcement Groups’ Accident Investigation Unit is responsible for investigating crash scenes involving fatalities or in cases where fatalities are likely to occur.

15 police agencies are represented by this 8 man team of Crash Reconstructionists. They are equipped with the latest technology and training which enable them to deliver a more accurate finished product. Officers respond to scenes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are generally on the scene within 30 minutes of the request.

Members receive additional training in the areas of Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle and Pedestrian Reconstruction. We are also well equipped in the areas of (CDR) Crash Data Retrieval, the Vericom VC3000PC, CAD Zone, Map Scenes and numerous other advanced media and software available.
