The Livonia Police Department is a northwest suburban Detroit police agency consisting approximately 180 sworn police personnel and 36 Civilian employees. The mission of the Livonia Police Department is to be responsive to the needs of all persons within the City by providing excellence in police service. In partnership with the community, we commit to the highest standard of professionalism, integrity and accountability. The department consists of several bureaus one of which is the Traffic Safety Bureau. The Traffic Safety Bureau along with the Motor Carrier Division are responsible for overall traffic safety, research, statistics and investigation of crashes and serious injury/fatal accidents.
