Police Department The Traffic Unit of the Peoria Police Department consists of one Lieutenant, two Sergeants and ten accident investigators (officers). Of the ten investigators, five are Accident Reconstructionists. Traffic officers are responsible for the bulk of the serious property damage, injury and fatal traffic accidents. They are also responsible for the majority of traffic violation enforcement including enforcement campaigns for accident reduction and DUI. |
