The Lincolnshire Police Department provides core services which include uniformed patrol operations, investigations, youth services, traffic accident investigation and enforcement, telecommunications, bicycle patrol and supplementary services which include disaster preparedness and response, planning and research, housewatch program, participation with community action groups, crime prevention, drug abuse intervention, traffic pattern analysis and recommendations, elementary school Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), and Village licensing investigation and enforcement.

Our Department is also a member of the Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County (MCAT).  MCAT is a multi-jurisdictional entity that is comprised of accident investigators and reconstructionists.  It is a unit that makes crash investigation a team effort, thus lessening the burden on the stricken local authority.
