The Traffic Unit is part of the Patrol Division and we have an office on the first floor of the police department, which has public access. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Our public window hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

The Traffic Unit has one sergeant, one detective, nine motor officers and two office personnel. Traffic collision reports are not available through our office. They are available through the Records Division ten business days after the date of the collision.

Appointments are needed for the release of a vehicle when it has been involved in a hit and run accident. Our office can sign off mechanical violations, but we can not do VIN verifications. VIN verifications can be done at any DMV office or any Highway Patrol office.
