The Danville Police Department (DPD) located in Contra Costa, California, is a full service criminal justice agency contracted through the Contra Costa Sheriff's Department. Incorporated in 1982, the Town of Danville is located approximately 30 mile east of San Francisco and lies in the center of the San Ramon Valley. The Town comprises of 20.0 square miles and has over 39,000 residents.

To service the Town's residents, DPD has 27 sworn officers, 12 reserve officers, 6 civilian police personnel and numerous volunteers. DPD provides 24 hours a day criminal justice service
