Within our Department, we currently have 81 Department of the Army Civilian Police Officers, 6 of which are assigned to the Traffic Section as Traffic Accident Investigators.  Within the Traffic section we also work side by side with 7 Military Police Officers.  All of the individuals assigned to the Traffic Section have or are slotted for Traffic Accident Investigation courses through the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services or the Traffic Management and Collision Investigation Course at Lackland Air force Base.  Our responsibilities include accident investigation/reconstruction, special event details, VIP escorts, technical equipment management (radars, lidars, speed enforcement trailers, VMS boards), abandoned vehicle management, selective enforcement checkpoint management and DWI Patrol.
