MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Membership in NYSTARS is open to anyone who has met the following requirements:

• Any individual who has successfully completed a course either in advance Technical Accident Investigation or Accident Reconstruction which is recognized and accepted by the Accident Reconstruction profession; or

• Any individual who holds a college degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or

• Any individual with schooling, training and/or experience in scientific or technical or professional fields related to Accident Reconstruction.

The procedure to join NYSTARS is as follows:

1. Print the application and complete it (located below in Word or PDF format)
2. Attach all pertinent diplomas and certificates
3. Enclose a check for $40 made payable to NYSTARS
4. Mail the completed package to NYSTARS

The application will then be reviewed by a membership committee and you will be advised of their determination.

NYSTARS members receive discounted member rates at accident reconstruction seminars that are held around New York State and at the Annual Joint Conference. NYSTARS also publishes a newsletter that is sent to all members. The main benefit of NYSTARS is the networking among the membership to enhance their expertise in the area of accident investigation and reconstruction.

Members of NYSTARS are entitled to a 10% discount on all membership levels in the ARC Network. Click here for more information.
