ARC-CSI Crash Tests

The tests covered in this conference were conducted by the Collision Safety Institute in conjunction with the ARC Network on June 6-7, 2005. The tests were used to illustrate conference focus areas.

Following is an overview of the tests:

Crash Test #1-2

North Las Vegas PD sponsored research into the effect of push bumpers on deployments, occupant exposure and motion. Examination compared two Crown Vics in low closing speed and then higher closing speed events.

Multi-vehicle crash. Pontiac Grand Prix at about 27 miles per hour into the rear of the Mazda RX7 which was pushed into the rear of the trailer.
