Sisters
and Clones Database
The ARC Network
has been working the last couple months programming a web-based
version of the Sisters & Clones database. The database is
also known as the "Vehicle Year & Model Interchange List".
The sisters
and clones database allows you to find "like" vehicles
when the data for the vehicle you are looking for does not exist.
For example, if you were investigating an accident that involved
a 1997 Mercury Villager van, the sister/clone of that vehicle
would be 1993-1998 Nissan Quest van. Knowing that, if you could
not find certain measurements or stats on a 1997 Mercury Villager,
you could try to locate the "missing" information from
a 1993-1998 Nissan Quest.
We are currently
putting the finishing touches on this database and it will be
placed on the ARC Network by June 1, 2003. The database will contain
domestic, import and trucks.
