The
ARC Network and MATAI
The ARC Network
is pleased to announce MATAI (Michigan Association of Technical
Accident Investigators) has joined forces with the ARC Network.
MATAI:
Michigan Association of Traffic Accident Investigators
Formed in 1991, the Michigan Association of Traffic Accident Investigators
is an organization designed for investigators and reconstructionists
from both the public and private sector, as well as for other professionals
having an interest in the field of traffic accident reconstruction.
The organization allows members to participate in a continual exchange
of ideas and information, and helps to keep them current on changes
taking place within this discipline.
MATAI offers
3 levels of membership:
FULL MEMBERSHIP:
A member who has successfully completed a certified course in traffic
accident investigation or has qualifications by way of experience
in lieu of such a course or who has met all requirements as set
forth by the Board of Directors and the membership committee.
ASSOCIATE
MEMBERSHIP: A member who has an interest in accident investigation
but who is not directly involved in the discipline. Persons eligible
for associate membership might include but not be limited to medical
doctors, forensic pathologists, automotive and/or traffic engineers,
human factors analysts, attorneys, private investigators and insurance
company personnel. Associate members must also meet the requirements
set forth by the Board of Directors and the membership committee.
CORPORATE:
Business and other organizations having an interest in traffic accident
investigation would be included in this category. Corporate members
will designate one person at a time to represent their organization
at MATAI functions.
