ARC-CSI Crash Conference Update
List of Topics and Speakers Added

ARC-CSI Crash Conference 2003The ARC Network and Collision Safety Institute will be hosting the 2003 ARC-CSI Crash Conference in Las Vegas, NV, June 9-12, 2003. This four-day conference will feature three (3) full days of speaker presentations from industry experts and one (1) full day of real world crash testing.

At the conclusion of the conference, all attendees will leave with a CDROM of the entire conference including all crash test video, data, digital pictures, CDR data, speaker presentations, and other goodies.

Topics and Speakers for this years conference:

  • arc csi crash conferenceThomas Szabo: "Low Speed" Collisions - Analysis and Biomechanics
  • Judson Welcher: Collision Trauma Biomechanics
  • Gary Cooper: Airborne Events - Analysis and Modeling
  • Timothy Reust: Commercial Vehicle Event Data Recorders (EDR) ("black boxes"). The Electronic Control Modules of engines found on newer bus and trucks function as a EDR. Presentation will cover different engine manufacture ECMs, the data available, the equipment needed for downloading and interpretation of the data. Hands-on downloading from a commercial vehicle will be demonstrated.
  • New Version CDR System - GM and Ford
  • Continued research from last years crash conference
    (human data v. hybrid III dummy data)
  • Rusty Haight & Brad Muir: Field Data Review and Data Distribution
  • Daniel Vomhof III: NHSTA Crash Data - Problems in Obtaining and Using
