Accident Investigation Team from the Washington State Patrol has
chosen to join forces and become a member the ARC Network. We
are very pleased to include such a talented group of individuals
in our Network.

The Washington
State Patrol's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) was formed
in 1990, in partnership with the Washington State Department of
Transportation. The MAIT is charged with investigating catastrophic
collisions occurring within the jurisdiction of the Washington
State Patrol. These collisions are defined by specific criteria
that, by their severity, demand exhaustive investigation and review.
The Washington State Patrol began the MAIT as a means of conducting
intensive investigations to determine all of the causative factors
leading up to the collision and injuries/fatalities. These investigations
focus on the human factors that may arise on a case-by-case basis.
These factors are analyzed in association with the pre-collision,
collision, and post-collision phases. The overriding objective
is the utilization of the knowledge gained through these investigations
to prevent the occurrence of similar collisions.
Police
Department Offer
A couple months
ago the ARC Network launched the Police Department Membership.
This is a specially priced membership for police departments.
We are pleased to report we have already signed on four departments
with more on the way. We are also pleased with the positive feedback
we have received regarding this membership option. With many police
budgets being almost nonexistent, we have priced this membership
to be affordable. Best of all the membership is good for everyone
in your department!
