February 2004 Welcome to the February 2004 issue of the Accident Reconstruction Newsletter. We are now cruising in high-gear at the ARC Network. In January 2004 the ARC Network received a whopping 1.35 million hits to the web site! Everything is set for the ARC-CSI Crash Conference in June and we have many new companies volunteering to help submit new information to the network. We are still working on the Equation Solver Suite. Thanks to your feedback we have added some improvements to it already. The final code is being completed this week, then we will be busy populating the database with a bunch of new equations. In other news, the ARC Network has been working on a companion web site. Since we receive so many emails from people who have been in car accidents, and don't know where to start or what to do, we decided it would be a good idea to develop a web site for them. The new web site is www.iGotHit.com - the Auto Accident Resource Network. This new web site is designed specifically for anyone who has been in a car accident. It contains information on what to do at the scene of an accident, as well as what to do after the accident. It also contains a research section that links to state laws (helmet, seat-belt, speed, etc.). iGotHit.com also links to an auto accident attorney directory, auto accident injury practitioner directory, insurance section and the ARC Network expert witness directory.
In conjunction with the launch of this new web site, I Got Hit and Collision Safety Institute will be offering a 2-day crash conference the weekend before the ARC-CSI Crash Conference. This 2-day conference is titled, "Evaluating Car Accidents for Injury Potential". The dates of the conference are June 19-20, 2004. We are offering a special discount of $200 if you attend both conferences. For more information please visit www.igothit.com/Conferences/InjuryPotential.asp. The ARC Network would like to thank everyone for continuing to make the ARC Network the number one web site for accident reconstruction and traffic investigation.
