- The CDR User's Conference is almost
full. We only have 25 seats left. If you are planning
on attending, please submit your registration form promptly - web
site or give us a call toll free 866-223-4984.
- New Products in the ARC Network. The ARC Network will
be adding some new companies and services to the ARC Network this year.
To begin, we have just added iWitness to the products directory. This
is the newest software application for close range photogrammetry.
We will be profiling this new product in next month's newsletter. In
the mean time you can check it out in the ARC Network's Product directory
or at www.iwitnessphoto.com
This past year the ARC Network
has again experienced some real growth. Our membership base has grown
to over 550 members. The traffic to the web site has also grown substantially
from about 1.2 million hits per month to over 2 million hits per month.
Our guest book has grown from 8,000 individuals to over 9,000. We also
experienced our best attended crash conference to date. Last year's ARC-CSI
crash conference attendance was over 160 compared to just over 110 for
the 2004 conference. We have once again secured the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
and the Palace Station Hotel for the 2006 ARC-CSI Crash Conference.
The ARC Network prides itself on being the only organization
that provides its members a listing in the best expert witness directory
online, access to a member's only private web site providing up-to-date
crash and vehicle information, and discounts to our Crash Conferences.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please visit the Membership
Section of the ARC Network or give us a call toll free: (866)
223-4984.
This past year we have been working closely with some other
companies to help bring more information and services to the ARC Network.
Through one of these arrangements, we have automated the membership and
membership renewal process, giving ARC Network members the freedom to
view, update and maintain their membership directly online. This is all
done on a new SECURE server. This is a huge step in continuing with the
ARC Network. This new automation feature allows the ARC Network to spend
more time adding content and improving the structure of the ARC Network
web site.
Through another arrangement, the ARC Network is now offering
to pay your $450 tuition for the Collision Safety Institute's CDR Technician
and Analyst Course with the purchase of a Vetronix CDR System. With the
purchase you also qualify for a new one-year ARC Network membership.
STATISITICS:
The statistics for the ARC Network continue to grow. We are now into our
8th year as an organization. We are averaging over 2 million hits to the
web site each month. Here is a look at how the hits have increased over

ARC-CSI
CRASH CONFERENCE:
In June 2005, the ARC Network and Collision Safety Institute hosted the
4th Annual ARC-CSI Crash Conference. This year we had a large spike in
attendance from last year and were able to add a few extras into the conference.
We held all the actual live crash tests at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
and the weather was beautiful (in the high 80's). All the crash test were
conducted on time and we finished all the testing by 12:30 PM! At the
end of the conference everyone received a ARC-CSI Crash Conference CD
compilation that included all the crash tests, speaker presentation, digital
photos, CDR files and other data. We would like to thank everyone who
attended, we hope to see you again this year.
The ARC-CSI Crash Conference for 2006 will be held at the
same location in Las Vegas. The dates are June 5-8, 2006. We are now accepting
registration for the conference. All information and applications are
available online at: www.crashconferences.com
COMING THIS YEAR:
Early last year the ARC Network partnered with Vetronix
to offer some special incentives when purchasing a new Vetronix CDR System.
Over the past year the ARC Network, Vetronix and Collision Safety Institute
have agreed to bundle a very special incentive that we just announced
for 2006. If you purchase a Vetronix CDR System through the ARC Network
(www.cdr-system.com), the ARC Network will pay for one seat in the CDR
Technician course and one seat in the CDR Analyst Course for every CDR
System purchased. That is a value of $450. This offer is being made to
emphasize the need to be certified in this new technology. You will also
be receiving the newest version of the Vetronix CDR software (v.2.8),
a new control module, and all the new cables.
CDR User's Conference
With all the new information available in the Crash Data Retrieval industry,
we decided to put together a special conference for Crash Data Retrieval
User's. The ARC Network and Collision Safety Institute is hosting the
first CDR User's Conference February 13-14, 2006 in Dallas, TX. The conference
is already almost full, as of January 5, 2006 we only have 25
seats left and the CDR Train the Trainer course immediately following
the conference is full and a waiting list has been started if we receive
any cancellations.
Other items we will be focusing on for 2006:
- ARC-CSI
Crash Conference 2006
- CDR
User's Conference 2006
- Continued compilation of CDR crash test data (available
for download in the Member's section)
- Rework the Vehicle Specs and Crush Stiffness Databases
- Implementation of the new look and feel of the ARC Network
- Adding new product information
- Working on adding more education opportunities
- Adding new information to the members only section
- Offering more crash test videos for purchase
- Updating and improving the major sections of the main
ARC Network web site
- Participation in other accident reconstruction/investigation
conferences
- New marketing initiatives and alliances to educate and
drive more attorneys to the ARC Network Expert Directory
- Working closer with individuals who need help with a
professional web site.
THANK YOU:
It has been a pleasure developing and managing the ARC Network. Never
before have I met such quality people. Every one of us at the ARC Network
would like to thank all of you for making the ARC Network a success.
We wish all of you a very happy and safe holiday!
