DECEMBER 2004 - Year in review

It is with the December Newsletter that I would like to take time to look back and review how the ARC Network has grown over the past year and let you know our plans for the coming year.

Let's start with the actual web site of the ARC Network. This year we moved the ARC Network to new servers to handle the increased volume were are experiencing. We also launched 3 new web sites to support the activities of the ARC Network: www.iGotHit.com (The Auto Accident Resource Network), www.CrashConferences.com (the new home of the ARC-CSI Crash Conference), and www.crash-data-retrieval-system.com (to offer a discount on the purchase of the crash data retrieval kit). The ARC Network now handles every aspect of a auto accident scenario. Those who have been in an accident can use the I Got Hit web site resource, and those investigating, reconstructing and litigating the accident can use the ARC Network.

This past year we have also performed extensive work on optimizing the ARC Network for search engine placement, and have worked on search engine algorithms to provide the best results for the ARC Network. The work has definitely paid off. The ARC Network is now the number one search result in all major search engines for accident reconstruction and many other key words?

In our Member's Only section, we have added an Online Equation Solver, updated the Vehicle Specs Database and the Crush Stiffness Database. We have also added additional crash video clips and many papers to the Technical Paper Library.

STATISITICS:
The statistics for the ARC Network continue to grow. We are now into our 7th year as an organization. We are averaging just above 1.3 million hits to the web site each month. Here is a look at how the hits have increased over the past years:

MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in the ARC Network grew at a rapid rate this past year. We currently have over 400 individual members, over 60 police departments, 12 organizations, and some of the top educational institutions. We added about 120 new members this year. The total number of subscribers to the ARC Network is over 500!

The ARC Network prides itself on being the only organization that provides its members a listing in the best expert witness directory online, access to a member's only private web site providing up-to-date crash and vehicle information, and organizational discounts.

ARC-CSI CRASH CONFERENCE:
In June 2004, the ARC Network and Collision Safety Institute hosted the 3nd Annual ARC-CSI Crash Conference. This year we had a spike in attendance from last year and were able to add a few extras into the conference. We held all the actual live crash tests at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Although it was a little warm, we had NFL-style cooling fans under a tent and plenty of water, ice tea and lemonade, as well as a catered lunch. All the crash test were conducted on time and we finished all the testing by 12:30 PM! At the end of the conference everyone received a ARC-CSI Crash Conference CD compilation that included all the crash tests, speaker presentation, digital photos, CDR files and other data. We would like to thank everyone who attended, we hope to see you again this year.

The ARC-CSI Crash Conference for 2005 will be held at the same location in Las Vegas. The dates are June 7-10, 2005. We are now accepting registration for the conference. All information and applications are available online at: www.crashconferences.com

COMING NEXT YEAR:

The ARC Network will be relocating its main office to Kirkland, Washington. Beginning Feb. 15, 2005 the new ARC Network address will be:

• Participation in other accident reconstruction/investigation conferences
• New marketing initiatives and alliances to educate and drive more attorneys to the ARC Network Expert Directory
