Year in Review
It is with the December Newsletter that I would like to
take time to look back and review how the ARC Network has grown over the
past year and let you know our plans for the coming year.
Let's start with the actual web site of the ARC Network.
The first thing you probably have noticed is we have redesigned the front
page of the ARC Network. We are currently working on adapting the new
style to the rest of the web site. With the new design we are also reworking
some of the sections of the ARC Network, one of them being the newsletter.
The issue marks the first with the new look. We are hoping to have the
entire ARC Network web site completed by January 2004.
STATISITICS:
The statistics for the ARC Network continue to grow. We are now into our
6th year as an organization. About halfway through the year we achieved
a landmark 1 million hits to the web site (for a one-month period) and
we have maintained those hits throughout the year. We are on target to
record over 10 Million hits to the ARC Network this year! Here is a look
at how the hits have increased over the past years:

MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in the ARC Network continues to grow. We currently have over
380 individual members, over 60 police departments, 12 organizations,
and some of the top educational institutions. This year we increased our
annual dues for two reason, the first being the cost to maintain the ARC
Network has risen and second, the development costs to add and maintain
the databases in the member's only section.
The ARC Network prides
itself on being the only organization that provides its members a listing
in the best expert witness directory online, access to a member's only
private web site providing up-to-date crash and vehicle information, and
organizational discounts.
If you are interested
in becoming a member, please visit the Membership
Section of the ARC Network or give us a call toll free: (866) 223-4984.
ARC-CSI
CRASH CONFERENCE:
In June 2003, the ARC Network and Collision Safety Institute hosted the
2nd Annual ARC-CSI Crash Conference. This year we doubled the attendance
from last year and were able to add a few extras into the conference.
We held all the actual live crash tests at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Although it was a little warm, we had NFL-style cooling fans under a tent
and plenty of water, ice tea and lemonade, as well as a catered lunch.
All the crash test were conducted on time and we finished all the testing
by 12:00 noon! At the end of the conference everyone received a ARC-CSI
Crash Conference CD compilation that included all the crash tests, speaker
presentation, digital photos (100's), CDR files and other data.
The ARC-CSI Crash
Conference for 2004 will be held at the same location in Las Vegas. The
dates are June 21-24, 2004. We are now accepting registration for the
conference. All information and applications are available online at:
www.accidentreconstruction.com/arccsi/2004/index.asp
