Letter from the Editor
Already half-way through the year. Don't you wish time was like a DVR and you could push the pause button, get caught up, then resume! Since the last newsletter we hosted the 9th annual ARC-CSI Crash Conference to the largest crowd yet, published Volume 5, Issue 1 of Collision Magazine, set up a new web site for the upcoming CDR User's Summit and released the Bosch CDR version 3.5 hardware and software. We also put some new "goodies" in the ARC Network membership section.
Let's take a closer look at what is new with the ARC Network, Collision Publishing and Crash Data Group.
For starters, we renewed our agreement with George Bonnet of REC-TEC to offer DRIVE3 free to all ARC Network Members. The new licensed file is available for download on the ARC Network member's home page and is valid until July 2011.
In addition, Greg Russell "the Excel Guru" has given the ARC Network permission to distribute his Crush Stiffness worksheet for free to all ARC Network members. You can download it on the ARC Network members home page. This Excel worksheet connect directly to the NHTSA Crash Test Database so you can use those values to input in the worksheet, then let the worksheet perform all the calculations for you.
We have begun the brainstorming sessions on the redevelopment of the ARC Network Expert Directory. Our expert directory is the leading directory for locating accident reconstruction experts and we are the number one result in Google for searches for accident reconstruction experts. We feel with all the new advances in technology there are some opportunities to improve our directory resource. We would love to hear your suggestions on what you would like added or changed in the Expert Directory - send us an email. The ARC Network Expert Directory is free to search, but you have to be an ARC Network member to be listed. The listing is included with every level of membership.
Finally you will notice new additions to the home page of the ARC Network. We are now posting all new information in separate blocks on the home page. So check back often to see what's new in the accident reconstruction industry. Note, this is in addition to all the accident reconstruction news that is posted in the AR News section (12 news articles already posted for July).

Collision Publishing recently mailed Volume 5, Issue 1 of Collision Magazine marking our 5th year of the publication. We are currently working on the Fall 2010 issue.
We are also adding functionality to the Collision web site. With the new development, a registered user will be able track their subscription, view what issues they own, upload articles for publication and search the database of articles published. We are also adding the functionality for advertisers to upload art and track their ads as well as authors to upload articles and track which articles they have submitted. We are looking forward to launching this new web site functionality in the next couple months.
As always, if you have an article or paper you would like to submit for publishing in Collision visit this link and follow the submission guidelines.
