Accident Reconstruction News Article

The New York State Police are investigating a car pedestrian fatality that occurred on State Route 13 in the Village of Lansing, Tompkins County at approximately 2:41am. Shane A. Waterman, Age 29, Ithaca NY was traveling westbound on State Route 13 operating a 2001 Chrysler minivan when pedestrian Bree E. Everhart, age 26, of Ithaca NY entered the roadway from the median, directly into the path of Waterman’s vehicle.

Everhart was transported by Bangs Ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center Emergency Room where she was pronounced deceased. Waterman was uninjured.

The investigation is continuing by members of the New York State Police Uniform Force, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Collision Reconstruction Unit.

New York State Police were assisted at the scene by the Lansing Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance.
