Police say their report may be ready by the end of the week.
SHADYSIDE, OH -- A potentially critical piece of the investigation into that fatal motorcycle-car crash in Shadyside, has just been carried out The Ohio Highway Patrol's crash reconstructionist out of Cambridge examined the scene and finished just hours ago The car-motorcycle accident that eventually took the life of 16-year-old Devron Lundsford, is still at the forefront of an active investigation.
Shadyside Police say emotions are still running high and people want answers. Police say those answers will come, and this case has admittedly taken a lot of time, since the July 28th accident. But they say they want to get their facts clear and solid. And part of that involved the crash reconstruction.
Police say they mapped intersection with a total station, which is device that basically like a surveying device that maps out the location and anything on the roadway that they could see and identify.
They say it's been an exhausting process but they brought State Police in to determine aspects of the case that are relevant..
Shadyside Police say they have turned a report in to the prosecutor's office. The crash reconstructionist told them he hopes to have his report ready in a week. And police say they expect to be able to release something solid by the end of this week. Devron Lundsford, the motorcycle passenger and a Shadyside High School student, died August 16th.
