Civil and Criminal Forensics

• Investigations: Forensic Investigation is the investigation, measurement, diagramming, and photography of the scene and evidence and the interviewing of witnesses. The purpose of a forensic investigation is to recreate a past event for future presentation in a court of law. the Forensic Trio uses calibrated measuring devices, medium format cameras, and other professional equipment to record information for exhibits, event reconstruction and presentation of the forensic event at trial.

• Accident Reconstruction: Motor Vehicle Accident Recontruction is the determination of time, distance, speed, and placement through the accident sequence of the motor vehicles, the witnesses (drivers, occupants, pedestrians, and other event witnesses) at the scene. Post event, the Forensic Trio gathers, preserves and analyzes forensic data from the scene, the evidence (the vehicles, damage, tire marks,etc.)and the witnesses to recreate the event for your case presentation.

• Crime Scene Reconstruction: Crime Scene Events are reconstructed by the Forensic Trio from the scene, the witnesses and the evidence. This is done using the same basic techniques as motor vehicle accident reconstruction. Mr. Scott, the CEO, has an extensive background in crime scene forensics and witnesses interviewing. His forensic training includes blood stain interpretation, photography, photogrammetry, modem of injury and death, etc.

• Photography and Photogrammetry: the Forensic Trio uses medium format (6x7 and 6x4.5), 35mm and video cameras in performing forensic investigations. Max J. Scott, CEO, has been professionally trained in Forensic Photography and the photograph reconstruction process termed Photogrammetry. Through the photogrammetry process a scene can be diagrammed to scale with the accurate placement of evidence such as tire marks, point of impact, blood stains, etc.

• Private Investigation: As detailed in our other areas of practice, the Forensic Trio specializes in litigated cases only. We do not perform private security or do domestic survillance.
