CA2RS: California
Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists
CA2RS is an ACTAR affiliated organization established in 1998 which aims to offer resources and training to its members to support and contribute to the growing field of Accident Reconstruction. Training held at CAARS meetings is free to its members, and newsletters are distributed quarterly to keep all members informed.

FARO: Forensic Accident
Reconstructionists of Oregon
Enhancing professionalism in forensic reconstruction.
Incorporated in June 1994, FARO exists to serve the collision
investigation and reconstruction community within Oregon.
Currently, over 120 members strong, FARO's membership includes
engineers, physicians, attorneys, insurance professionals,
law enforcement personnel, private investigators, and others.
While the bulk of FARO's members are experienced reconstructionists,
some are new to the field.

NAPARS:
The National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction
Specialists, Inc., is a nonprofit specialized organization
founded in 1984 whose members have joined together to share
the challenge of dealing with the complex problems of accident
reconstruction and to upgrade and ultimately professionalize
the accident reconstruction field.
NAPARS maintains its corporate and business offices
in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC and is open
to all persons who are interested in the fields of accident
investigation, accident reconstruction and highway traffic
safety issues. Currently, NAPARS has nearly 1300 members
from all different kinds of background and disciplines
and from all over the world, including police officers,
engineers, private consultants and government safety personnel.

NATARI:
National
Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists and Investigators
The National Association
of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists and Investigators
(NATARI) was established as a nonprofit Pennsylvania corporation
in 1984. The goal of NATARI is to provide a source of
information to be shared among accident professionals
on a national basis. This goal is reflected in the NATARI
logo comprised of an outline of the nation, a broken wheel
signifying a traffic collision and the words "to
solve for safety'.
NATARI
membership is open to professionals who constitute three
levels of experience and training. Unique among the
organization is the combination of both reconstructionists
and investigators, as well as associates. The majority
of NATARI members are from the mid-Atlantic areas of
the United States, however, the organization has members
from other areas of the country and Canada.

NYSTARS:
New
York Statewide Traffic Accident Reconstruction Society
The mission
of NYSTARS is to organize into one body, professionals
in the field of ground vehicle collision reconstruction
and related activities, who support and maintain a
high standard of ethics, integrity, credibility and
honor in the field of collision reconstruction; to
encourage training programs relating to motor vehicle
collision investigation and reconstruction through
research and communication of matters of mutual interest;
to promote traffic safety and foster a spirit of brotherhood

SOAR:
Society of Accident Reconstruction Specialists.
An organization of accident reconstructionists dedicated
to increasing knowledge, enhancing auto engineering, improving
traffic safety and the free exchange of information. Membership
is open to all people in all aspects of traffic transportation.
Membership is comprised of active and retired police officers,
professional engineers, automotive engineers and private
consultants. We have members throughout the world.

WATAI:
Washington Association of Technical Accident Investigators.
WATAI is the oldest of the technical accident investigation
groups in the United States, and we are pleased to continue
our growth into the new millennium. WATAI is a multidisciplinary
group of individuals and agencies involved with motor-vehicle
collisions. Our members include current and former members
of law enforcement, investigators, engineers, forensic
scientists, attorneys, and medical specialists. WATAI
was formed in 1979. The purpose of the Association is
to promote education and research in the field of accident
investigation; to encourage interdisciplinary communication
between the practitioners of accident investigation; and
to cooperate and participate with other organizations
dedicated to the science of accident investigations.
