Expert Witness Search Engine Help Page
Welcome to the Help Section for locating an Expert
on the ARC Network. Below you will learn how to use the Expert Search
page and some hits to refine your searches.
The ARC Network Expert Witness Search page allows
you to search for Experts using seven (7) different criteria:
- Expert Name: Use this criteria to search by an expert's
first name, last name, or part of a name. It is best not to use
the full name because some Experts use their middle initial (if
you searched for "John Doe" and he is listed as "John
T. Doe" the search engine will not find him. It is best and
recommended to search by the last name (if you search by the first
name you could run into problems with shortened names, nicknames,
etc.)
- Company: Use this criteria to search by company name
or part of a company's name. It is best to use the first part
of a company name instead of the entire company name depending
how it is listed in our database. For example, some companies
include "My company And Associates" the problem could
arise if it is listed as "My company & Associates"
or "My company and Assoc." or "My company &
assoc." You wouln't know which one to type. But you would
find it if you searched by "My company".
- Service Area: Use this criteria to search by states/provinces
where experts provide their services. This differs from searching
by State. Some experts work in multiple states, for example California
and Arizona, but have a business address in California. Using
the "Service Area" search criteria the expert that works in both
California and Arizona would be found if you searched by either
California or Arizona. If you used the "State/Province" search
criteria this same expert would only be found by searching California
because the "State/Province" search criteria only searches business
addresses.
- City: Use this criteria to search by city location where
the expert's business resides. This criteria is tied directly
to the business address city where the expert's business office
is located.
- State or Province: Use this criteria to search by state
location where the expert's business resides. This criteria is
tied directly to the business address city where the expert's
office is located. To search by States covered by expert please
use the "Service Area" search criteria.
- Zip or Postal Code: Use this criteria to search by the
zip or postal code location where the expert's business resides.
You may use a partial zip or postal code.
- Specialty: Use this criteria to search by the specialties
offered by each expert.
You may choose to use any ONE of the above criteria
for your search OR you can combine multiple categories to
REFINE your search.
Now let's look at some examples.

in Ohio.
One way to do this is to select "Ohio" in the "State

the "Service Area" pull-down menu, then click "Search".

in Ohio will be displayed.

California who is a Bicycle specialist.
